How to set up the Leitner system using our 5-compartment box? 

• Start with new cards: Place all new flashcards in Compartment 1. 
• Review and test yourself: Study cards from Compartment 1 daily. → Correct answer: move the card to the next compartment → Incorrect answer: keep it in Compartment 1 
• Progress over time: Cards you know well move backward through the compartments, with longer intervals between each review. 
• Reinforce your learning: If you answer a card from compartments 2-4 incorrectly, it goes back to Compartment 1 to ensure effective memorisation. 
• Reach mastery: Cards in Compartment 5 are considered mastered and only need occasional review to maintain long-term memory. Tip: For a more flexible approach while reviewing, you can leave incorrectly answered cards in their compartment (2 to 4) instead of returning them to the beginning.
